Mumbai City FC can confirm that Indian midfielder Vinit Rai will leave the club after his contract expires on 31st May, 2024. Vinit has been part of the Mumbai City FC squad since January 2022.

The midfielder had arrived from Odisha FC, initially on loan to Mumbai City FC. In his two and a half years with the club, Vinit has turned out for the Mumbai side in the ISL, the Durand Cup, the Super Cup, and the AFC Champions League campaigns. He was part of the squad when the Islanders created history by winning two games in the 2022 AFC Champions League campaign and finishing second in Group B.

During his stint with Mumbai City FC, Vinit has been part of the side that won the ISL League Winners’ Shield in 2022/23. His latest triumph with the team saw him lift the ISL Cup in 2024 when the Islanders defeated Mohun Bagan SG in Kolkata.

Vinit has made 58 appearances for Mumbai City FC and scored 2 goals, leaving the club on a high with two titles. The Islanders are thankful for his contributions and commitment to the club.
