Mumbai City FC have begun preparations for the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 set to take place in Bhubaneswar, Odisha starting from April 20th, 2025.
The upcoming Super Cup provides new challenges and opportunities and a fresh platform for the squad now that the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) campaign has wrapped.
This season did not deliver on the club’s ambitions and everyone at Mumbai City – from players to coaches to staff – is fully committed to regrouping, learning and improving. As one of the league's most dominant teams, Mumbai City entered the ISL season with silverware aspirations fuelled by a strong squad and supported by a passionate fanbase. Despite some brilliant contributions from individual players, the collective results did not reflect the club’s potential nor high expectations.
Now, Mumbai City has eyes set on the Super Cup and embraces this next chapter with focus and taking with them lessons learned from the regular season.
The fans’ passionate support will continue to be a crucial motivator for the squad.
Kandarp Chandra – CEO, Mumbai City, commented:
“The Kalinga Super Cup presents a chance for us to regroup and refocus. It has been a tough regular season thus far, and we recognize, understand and share the disappointment felt by our fans. Every member of our team – coaches, players, support staff, and everyone behind the scenes – is fully committed to giving their all in every game. As we look ahead, we are committed to reassessing our strategy and making the necessary changes to come back stronger. We truly appreciate your continued support, especially as we gear up for the Super Cup. Your belief in us means everything.”
